--> Kitfox-List message posted by: "Clifford Begnaud" <shoeless@barefootpilot.com> Well, Here along the front range of Colorado many pilots went to the Snow Busters fly-in pancake breakfast in Greeley, CO. This is the first fly-in for our area every year and we all look forward to it. It was nice sunny day on the flight up, but while we were there a front passed through and what did it do? You guessed it, it snowed! So much for snow bustin. Most of us got stranded there for several hours waiting for the front to pass through. It didn't stay long at Greeley, but it socked in the home airport of most of us. Thanks to kitfox builder Tom Tomlin and his local EAA chapter for hosting the breakfast. There were several local kitfox flyers that did not show up! Shame on you guys. ;-) Best Regards, Cliff > > Yep...Hi, how are ya. Too windy in the desert to fly today...at least for > me. I havn't been for the last couple of years (building) but I'll be there with bells on this year. Take care. --> Kitfox-List message posted by: "Steve Cooper" <spdrflyr@earthlink.net> Hi Don. I'm flying a Jabiru 2200. It's an early ser. no. (296) but it's been modified. It pulls like a freight train. I'm really happy with it so far. I only have about 10 hours on it but it flys beautifully. Right now I have a Prince P-Tip on it, a climb prop, The 2200 is only supposed to see 3300 rpm with it but I see 3700. I've modified the throttle so it stays pretty close to 3300. it really pulls the bird along, but I still get 80~85 mph cruise with it. Last week I bought a Warp two blade to try. I think it will be hard to beat that Prince for climb though. I'll mostly use the Warp for cruise if it flys well. Aero-carb eh? What did you do with the 40mm Bing? I sure would like to have one. I have the older induction system. --> Kitfox-List message posted by: DC91840@aol.com Steve: Yes I am runing it on a Kitfox Classic IV. Performance is Gooood!!!! Climb rate is approx. 1500 ft./min. Take-off run 250/400 ft. Cruise speed ???????? Fuel burn 5 gal./hr.???? Haven't gotten real good numbers yet because I had my static port under the panel. didn't work very well. I have only 30 + hrs. on it so far. Been havin too much fun with other things.and not spendin enough time flyin. Still learnin Kitfox capabilities. Take-off using some flaps is shorter but very quick!!!!!! Will know more later. Really like the engine so far. Very smooth running. I pull power back for about 100 MPH cruise. Running a Sensenich wood prop. 48 x 64". Have had it up to about 130 mph. ASI only goes to 120. Don't want to stress the airframe or wings. Flew hands off first time. A lot more fun than the 7ECA. Are you planning on a Jab engine???

I am probably a year away from first flight, but like everything I have heard about the Jabiru. Please keep me posted on your performance figures.
