--> Kitfox-List message posted by: broschart <cfbflyer@localnet.com> you can try 5 if you can't get the 6 loops, your bungies might be a little different then others load the plane to gross and see how the gear looks, then put it up on cement blocks and see what happens when you push it off, set the prop so it doesn't hit any thing and don't be under anything when it comes down Have a good day - Charlie "Harris, Robert" wrote: > > --> Kitfox-List message posted by: "Harris, Robert" <Robert_Harris@intuit.com> > > Please Help? > > Does anybody have any tips on how to get my new bungee cords to wrap six > times on my Model II? --> Kitfox-List message posted by: Forfun3@aol.com Good for all, they walked away. 40 million down the drain is one way to look at it. However another way to look at, is like the old discussion about the moon project, billions are not setting on the moon. Most went to salaries to build the stuff. The government has it all back again by the time it is spent 3 times. This is not counting any spinoff technology. Most important, as always is no loss of life. Have some great flights. --> Kitfox-List message posted by: kurt schrader <smokey_bear_40220@yahoo.com> Don & John, Just a thought. Consider making a few 2.25" wide tapes yourself, if you need them, to cover the old tape "shadows" better. It may help you blend them in rather than trying to get an exact line up of 2" tapes on the old tape areas. Depends upon how you clean up the area where the tapes came off from, I suppose. I have decided to go ahead and do the job the right way. The old loose tapes have to come off in order to get a new and good bond to the basic fabric. No time for short cuts and besides, by the time you do the other method it will all come out the same in the end. At least, I hope so. Don Smythe DO NOT ARCHIVE

    Subject: Michel in NYC
--> Kitfox-List message posted by: "John E. King " <kingjohn@erols.com> To The List: I just received a call from our friend Michel from Norway. He has been in New York for several days now and is all tired out from walking all around New York City and still feels the effects of jet lag. He has visited West Point, the Catskills and most of the places visitors see in the city itself. Although he would like to visit Washington, extending his visit would be too much for his tired legs. His son seems to be holding up from the touring a lot better. He plans to visit more in the city until he departs for home Monday. He now realizes that since everyone in this country has their own computers at home, there are not may convenient places to access a computer to communicate with the List. He asked me if I knew of any places in NYC that sell a lot of pilot items like headsets. He said everyone he asks says there are none. I stated that I was not aware of any in NYC, but I have not been there for years. We'll probably hear the details of his trip when he gets home and had a chance to recover from his tired legs and jet lag. He's one tired Viking. Do not archive. -- John King Warrenton, VA

--> Kitfox-List message posted by: kurt schrader <smokey_bear_40220@yahoo.com> John, Don't know if you'll hear from Michel again before he leaves...or if he is getting any list e-mail, but just in case. When I go on the road, I just drop in to the local library and read my e-mail there. Just sign up on the computer list and wait a bit for one to open up. Then connect to his e-mail server. Google search it? Replying is a little harder. He might need to e-mail a list member directly who can pass it on. Otherwise the library computer will appear to be an unknown source. Don't know of an aviation store in NY right off, but a good book store with Trade-a-plane will keep him busy for a day :-) and they might list one or two stores in NY. Suggestions just in case... Do not archive. Kurt S. __________________________________ http://hotjobs.sweepstakes.yahoo.com/careermakeover

--> Kitfox-List message posted by: kurt schrader <smokey_bear_40220@yahoo.com> 'Corse I meant for you to take off the old tapes Don. :-) Just thought that it will leave tape ridges to cover up where the pinked edges were. This stuff doesn't sand that well according to the book. I thought a slightly wider tape might help blend those old edges out just a little bit better? Maybe not. I never tried it either.
