I just realized that I haven't received the e-mails from the Kitfox list for
about a week. I already did my homework and send my contribution.

Jose,
Why would it take a week to realize you received no emails from the list?
I realize that after 6 hours or less. Welcome back.

A couple of questions, dear listers:
1) When ordering air duct from Aircraft Spruce, and the price is quoted as per
unit, what is a unit? A foot of lenght?
2) I'll need a handle to open/close the carb heater of the Jabiru. I am
thinking to have a vernier handle there where my 582 primer is now. Which one
should I choose from Aircraft Spruce online catalogue?
Thanks in advance,
Michel

I have been using a CarQuest oil filter # 85065 for the past
8 years. This number is no longer available and has been
changed to 84035. The outside dimensions are the same,
however, the older filter has a small spring contained in
the bracket spot-welded to the end of the filter . The new
filter has a much larger spring and is attached to the
threaded end. Is anyone using the newer CarQuest filter?
Can anyone explain the difference in the filters? Should I
be concerned?
Thanks,
Joe

I had to change filters also, but the replacement was #85056. It's been a
while since I sold that plane, so you might want to double check it, but I'm
fairly certain that is the last carquest filter that I was using, and it
worked fine.
