They were a present so I don't know for sure where they came from. LLBean,
Gander, etc.
Whatcha give me for my old well-broken-in-smelly ones? :-)

I think you're wrong old buddy. The third slot is absolutely for the
oil
injection. That's what tunes the oil injection system to a specific
throttle
setting. The choke is a separate cable next to the throttle.
When you gonna fly anyway?

Joyous Noel Michel,
Please excuse the delay in posting the photos of my Series 7 cowling. They
are now in the photo share. Hope your Christmas celebration was wonderful.

Absolutely! :-) The only question that remains is whether I'll be
going there to work on a new Kitfox or to fly one that I buy from
someone else. What to do, what to do...
>Also, what is the status of the crashed 'fox? Did you save it for parts,

You're quite right, Don, how silly of me not to include the
airplane's status! :-)
The airplane was totalled, so the insurance company wrote me a check
for the hull value minus the deductible. I've discussed the
feasibility of buying the wreckage back from them but those that have
seen it feel there is very little there that is still usable. There
may be some engine parts that are usable, time will tell.

I'm sure I can still set off their alarms! I have 29 titanium plates
and 60 screws in my face, Michel! :-)
Thanks for all the kind wishes, folks.

I hope everyone had a merry Christmas
I apologize for opening such a can of "worms".I was not impressed with
Skystars customer service what I was impressed with was Frank Millers willingness
to
"Bite the Bullet" and tell us exactly where the company stands . It takes a
hell of a lot of guts to do that and, I hope in doing what they are, they won't
end up like Avid. Maybe if you need some parts and the cost difference isn't
that much between Skystar and the 2 Big Dogs
ACS and Wicks maybe you could throw Skystar a "Bone" and buy from them
instead
Anyway thanks for the explanation Mr. Miller sometimes a little INFO goes a
long way
Good or Bad
Happy New Year Everybody
David Cecil

Deke,
Where do you hail from? I am in Upper Mi, about 150 North of the bridge
working on a 5.
