Thanks Don, Nelson and Randy.
No, not many emergency landing places, I must admit. But most of the photos
were taken in the most scenic part of the flight, over the fjords. The rest of
the trip was much safer.
Cheers,

Okay guys,(and gals) I haven't been able to get the photos of my Jabiru
wrapped
in my Sky fox cowl as promised. But I will...really.
Why?? Cuz I've been wrestling with finishing up my wiring and testing my
engine monitor before I put on the cowling to test for cooling......
I've run the 3300 several times but couldn't ever get the tach to register.
Smooooth and quiet....but I'm getting ahead of myself.
I purchased the Rocky Mtn Instruments engine monitor kit and assembled
it myself...... right there on the kitchen table.
Don't worry dear it's just a few solder joints and then I'll be done.
Cost me a lot of meals out, ya know.
The kit was actually fun to build (yes you can buy it built) and that is
from
a guy that not long age didn't know a transister from a waffle.
I was delighted that my bench tests showed that it actually worked and
I didn't even let the smoke out of the wires. All was well until I needed
to get a tach reading as a basis for testing.
After many starts, stops,reruning
of wires, Ohm meter checks, Oscilloscope checks, all interspersed with
numerous calls to Ron at RKYMTN.
Okay I swallowed my short lived pride, as it was determined I should send
my home brewed monitor in to the factory.
Long story, it was my fault and Ron found the faulty wire trace I caused,
repaired it and sent it back to me all in the same day!!!!
The cost other than shipping for this fabulous service you ask?
A big fat ZERO.
Thanks Ron!
Now that's service!
By the way, the http://www.rkymtn.com/ monitor is being upgraded to soon
show
temperatures in farenheite among other improvements.
I may not be very good, but at least I'm slow d;-)
