Gil,
If it is the rectangular one fitting in the Denny (Skystar) mounting
bracket, I have one in good shape.
Let me know if you want it.

--> Kitfox-List message posted by: "Paul Seehafer" <av8rps@tznet.com>
Hi Guys,
A friend of mine that is a "Just Aircraft" builder has decided to put a 914
in an Escapade they recently completed, and consequently would like to sell
the Jabiru they put on it originally for display at Sun-n-Fun. This is the
latest version of the Jabiru with the higher horsepower and the valves that
don't require the 50 hour adjustment the older engines needed. He has
everything but the motor mount (his mount won't fit a kitfox), oil cooler,
prop, etc. I didn't think to ask him what he wants for it, but I'm sure it
will be a good deal as he is not one to sit on things long. So I expect it
could be a good deal for someone looking to power their airplane with a
Jabiru. And the big benefit, you can have it NOW! No waiting, and....you
get all the incidental pieces that usually cause delays in installs.
Incidentally, this engine is maybe 6 months old (if that), and has never
been started. So it truly is brand new, and I would think it would still be
under warranty. But for the accurate details, contact Jack Bresina at
www.cornellaeroworks.com , or call him. His cell # is 715-828-8478 , shop#
is 715-239-3716, and home # is 715-532-6299. He is located in western
Wisconsin near Chippewa Falls / Eau Claire area at the Cornell airport.

Gil,
I had mine crack about a year ago. Bought a new one at CPS I think. I
remember that little tank was quite pricey. Seems like it was around $50 or
more?????

During my recent annual- it was noted that I needed a new tire soon- and
as I'd already
bought one, I took it down to the local lawn-mower dealer to have it put
on (nobody else would
touch it).
To make a long story short- the tire is on, but they broke off one of
the horns for securing the
brake caliper. A bit of browsing on the net yields no joy- and I'm not
the original builder.
So.. here's what I know.
It's an 8" rim that has 6 bolts to secure the wheel to the hub. It
appears as though it started life as
a split-wheel rim, but has been welded togther (bead around the inside).
There are three horns for securing
the caliper to the wheel- and the caliper mounts with recessed allen
screws. The original parts list for
the airplane calls off " part no. LW-27R: wheels; main gear, aluminum,
8" dia., 6" wide". I *hope* that
these are the original wheels- and there's still one around? There's
also a small sticker on the inside of each-
3/4" high, 1" wide, blue background, white circle in the middle, one
corner rounded, with, *maybe*, Douglas
*something* in faded red. Landing Gear kit Parts list is dated 14 sept
1988.
I'm grounded without a replacement wheel- any leads or suggestions?
Thanks,
-Jack

Hi, Jack. Is there any chance that a welder could put on a new or the old
lug if you still have it. I am interested in what you find as I use them
also and wish I had a spare.
