I disassembled, cleaned and reassembled it after the crash and hoped like hell that I had the settings back where they belonged but I think the settings are all wrong. Does anyone have any experience with these. Its a model EFS-2 and I thinking that if I cant get some good info on it I'll have to send it back to your side of the world for repairs. To those who contacted me off list about the wing strut ends, John McBean has had one turned for me so he can help if your stuck. If you go to the Ellison web site you can download a manual for it that gives complete adjustments. Generally once it's adjusted, no more are needed. Good luck. If it's the starting stage that's the problem try opening the throttle slide. The blow compressed air over the metering tube. This will allow the TBI to prime. Since there is no accelerator pump the chamber will not just fill on its own. OK go ahead ask me how I know. :) Rick -----Original Message----- From: owner-kitfox-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-kitfox-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of QSS Sent: Tuesday, April 25, 2006 1:44 AM Subject: Kitfox-List: Throttle Body settings --> Kitfox-List message posted by: "QSS" Hi Guys, we are having a lot of trouble getting the engine fired up and need some advice from those that have the Ellison Throttle Body. Braid then connects that connection to the mount bolt on that side and through the bolt to the ground buss. The pos side also goes direct from the master solenoid to the starter and the + from that side to the circuit breaker buss. In the IV, there is definitely no room on the engine side for a battery. At least in my IV there is not. I do have a Series 5 but with a Series 7 firewall forward. This moves the 912S forward about 4 inches which improves cg with the light engine and gives more room for the battery. One pro is short power runs with heavy wire. I guess I am blind to any cons.... I am not worried about heat. The battery in my car and truck are on that side of the firewall. I think that there is more air moving through my cowl than through my engine compartments to keep temps down. In fact I have a spare thermocouple on my eis there to monitor intake air temp. It usually runs about 85 - 95 F. (I think. I will try to pay more attention to it.) I just thought since I had it I would monitor as info relevant to carb ice.
