The bounce has nothing to do with the hardness of the tyres but rather from the increases AoA due to the main hitting the ground first and inducing a nose-up as the tail goes down. But, talking about pressure, my ChengShin tyres have "7 PSI OPERATING PRESSURE" written on them. I think that's very little. I usually put 11 psi in them. I think they'll tolerate up to 20 psi, though. Cheers, Michel

I have one flaperon that has the white plastic coating on it and for the life of me I can not get it off. I soaked rags in paint thinner on the other one and on one side of this flaperon but it seems to have no effect on the one side. I have done it for a month now and there is hardly any efferct. does anyone have any other ideas? Is there a different solvent to try? I hate to start to sand it off but I am running out of ideas. thanks in advance. tim

--> Kitfox-List message posted by: Donald STEVENSON <shericom@rogers.com> Hi Tim, A little over a year ago I purchased a partly built 1992 M4/1200 Speedster from a gentleman in California, He had been been working on it from time to time but had never removed the white plastic from the flarerons (12 to 13 years!) I spent about two full days getting it off and had the sore fingers for a while to prove it. I found the only way was to heat it with a heat gun, and peel it off a strip or a little bit at a time, very slow work but it did work, with lots of patience and a few burned fingers the job got done. Lots of luck, hope this is a help, Don Don Stevenson, Caledon, Ontario Canada M4/1200 Speedster-912s tcfosser@aol.com wrote: --> Kitfox-List message posted by: tcfosser@aol.com i am sorry to open this up again as I remember it being beat to death earlier but I can not find it in the archives. I wouldn't recomend using = the standard bearing that come with the wheel, They look like junk to me = but the wheel is fine. It handles very much better than the Maule and is = much quieter. To fit it is just a matter of using a 1/16" wall sleave. = 1/2" ID to suit axle or what I did was get differnt bearings and to me = this was the better answer as I was not going to use the bearings that = came with the wheel no matter what. You won't believe the difference = this wheel makes. Rex Shaw.
