The Limbach 2000 (VW) we had in the club in our touring motor glider, SF25C had 80 HP at ? 3600 RPM, about 65 at 2900 RPM if I remember it correct. it had an zenith-Stromberg 150 CD carb. I think. A starter relay is a solenoid. It can handle a lot of current for relatively short periods of time. There are other solenoids available that are specifically designed for longer periods of energization. Adverse yaw, what's that, oh! that's what makes the kitfox fun. Just build it and go fly it, after awhile you won't realize the airplane has the adverse yaw. -------- kitfoxmike Do not archive Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=85009#85009

I have an updraft carb with a heat shield to keep it cool. In front of that is an air cleaner that has an in and out. A butterfly in front of that makes sure all intake air is just downstream from the cylinders. When open it allows ram air from the front. No ice yet. Michel, It is often hard to find noises in vehicles, even relatively quiet cars. One thing that may help is if you hold the unused headset mike up to suspected sources and listen over the intercom, squelch adjusted accordingly. You will only hear it over the intercom when the mike is near the source. Might help you isolate it if the source is in reach. If it is on the right behind the seat, the right passanger might have to twist around a lot, unless they do the stall while you check behind them from the left seat. Just an idea, kurt S. --- Michel Verheughe <michel@online.no> wrote: > Thanks for your answers, guys. I think I feel better > knowing it's not a > wing. Lynn and the List, Make sure you have a way to turn off ALL the fuel, including the header tank, if you have one. That is what the origional header-to-engine shutoff was for. I agree that wing tank valves come in handy, especially for down stream fuel line work. I don't have them yet. I just put a clamp on the hose so far, even in flight. Worry about damaging the Tygon hose, but so far it is fine. A fuel system re-work is in the plan for '07.
