MGL Avionics has the "Smart Singles" line which may fit your need. They are solid
state and the integrated (all instruments in one EFIS display) version of
this is what is in the Sonex airplanes. The ARS-1 attitude indicator is about
$825.

Subject: | false ribs question |
I'm trying to fix my false ribs between the ribs on my kitfox 2 Is the false
ribs suppose to be level with the ribs all the way to the front spar? Mine seem
to be about 1/8 inch higher. Should I sand to be level with the ribs before
I cover the wing?

On my Model II the false ribs are lower than the main ribs to the front
of the spar. Hopes this helps Jerry.

Bob ... you are the man!! i knew if i was patient we'd get something
without gyros that is reliable yet inexpensive.
I sent them an email to see if they have a "lite" model that doesnt have
all the bells and whistles for a little tighter budget .....just to see
what they say!! Would be nice if it was in color but it still looks
great!! Pretty universal!!
Thanks Bob!

No problem, just remember it when I say something really stupid, right? :)
Try hard to see one for real before buying, as some people really don't like the
monochrome when they see it. Maybe find a Sonex builder in the area. These
are the opposite of high-def, kind of like the Lowrance 1000 GPS versus almost
any color GPS. I'm OK with the B&W but your mileage may vary.
