Steve,
I'm not sure I should try to explain myself one more time, but since I did
not mean to offend in my "No Problemo"comment, I will.
To understand my comment, you must consider the context. If you read the
third sentence and following, my intention is clearly stated.I was just
trying to explain in "no problemo" the initial normal "first impression"
human response to input from our five senses; in this case visual. The point
intended was--my first visual impression of a message can influence my
opinion of the content of the message. If my first impression is good, this
influences my opinion of the message in a positive way. If bad, it
influences my opinion in a negative way. My intent was to encourage you (or
the writer) to give a good impression when someone glances at the content of
your message. If there was a "simple fix" to do that, I believe most people
would want to do that and I hope you would want to.
However, after reading your response, if would appear that you are looking
for reasons to be offended. Please look closely at your response to what I
thought was plain language. You said, " you imply the writer is garbage."
But I stated, "if the message looks like garbage it could very well be
garbage and/or the source of it is a producer of garbage." Notice closely
that the "is a producer of garbage" is not the same as saying the person is
garbage. Do you see the difference? I hope so. Compare that with this
statement. If a weld looks bad, it probably is bad. If the welder
consistently produces bad welds, I could say he is a producer of bad welds.
That is not the same as saying he is a bad weld.
I have called no one "garbage" nor has my comment been rude in context,
maybe crude, but not rude. But I have tried to encourage you (or the writer)
to put a little more effort into producing positive first impressions of
your messages. Indulge me one more example to illustrate the concept of
first impressions. Maybe you have heard the saying, "you eat with your eyes
first." A beautifully set table and attractively arranged dishes/food
prepares the mind to anticipate a wonderful tasting meal. The above does not
guarantee good tasting food. However, food sloped on a table almost
guarantees a negative opinion of the taste of the food before eating.
I trust this explanation was satisfactory. I intended no offense.

Subject: | Bubble Doors for Sale - Central CA |
I have an un-touched set of LP Aero bubble doors for sale. After seeing
they would add about 4 pounds to my plane, I decided they are too heavy for
my taste.
If someone who isn't so picky about weight would like to buy them, I will
sell for $195/Door + shipping.
Warning: Shipping is expensive due to package size (~$100+ via UPS), so if
you are anywhere near Central CA, let's see if we can find someone who will
be traveling through & has room.
Contact me off list if interested.

Tom,
What I got out of this discussion was your words of caution regarding your
plan to go through the procedures in a systematic fashion, asking for their
help, not with pressure or threat from you and then the good outcome. Glad
to hear that bureaucrats oftentimes have hearts.

I'm not sure but I think I'm losing my trust in bureaucracy's ability to
mess things up.
Thanks for the good news.
