Guy, if your friend has the inspector lined up he should ask if photos of the three views will be okay. Thats what mine wanted. Also, I have a Skystar catalog from 1999 that has three view drawings in the back. The model fives they show are the Voyager (tri gear smooth cowl) and the outback (tail wheel tube gear, smooth cowl). if one of those is what he needs I can snail mail a copy. -------- Tom Jones Classic IV, Phase one 503 Rotax, 72 inch Two blade Warp Ellensburg, WA Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=120000#120000

I hope to be there too. I think I'll drive over. Arlington is just inside my phase one 100 nm test area but I'm not too excited about flying over the mountains with my little 503 yet. -------- Tom Jones Classic IV, Phase one 503 Rotax, 72 inch Two blade Warp Ellensburg, WA Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=120003#120003

Theories are fine, Mike, but I've got the motel and fuel receipts, and the GPS data to back mine up. : ) (No "one-upmanship" intended...just havin' fun) Incidentally, when I got to looking at the track of my trip, I found that the GPS had overwritten the first part of the trip, and it showed "in theory" that I had started out from somewhere in Arizona, near the San Simon VOR, and that each day I fly now, more and more of the trip track will be eaten up...unless I save the track,....which I just did. Damn, now I'm gonna have to re-fly the first couple of thousand miles. : ) Hey Jimmie, can I stay at your place again? Another GPS fact that I just discovered....when the "flights" log gets full, it starts to overwrite the earliest ones. When I went to update my pilot's logbook, the first day of flying on this trip was gone. Fortunately, I had written those figures down, as well as all the rest of the trip, so it will be easy to transfer those figures to my logbook...wouldn't want the 'net/FAA cops to bust me on that one. Has anyone ever bought aircraft parts (for personal use) in Canada and brough them back into the states? How complicated is this? Is there an on-line resource you can recommend? I'm looking at some full lotus floats and thinking that the low price might be more than offset by the hassle of getting them through customs at the border. Any advice would be appreciated. I use the IQ3600a and find it works rather well, not sure on the, getting full thing. I did find that if I did a stop I needed to shut down the gps, collaps the entenna, and it will pick up where I stopped. As far as the Faa, well, what they don't know won't hurt them. In fact, the best thing to do with those folks is to be, out of side out of mind, if you know what I mean. -------- kitfoxmike model IV, 1200 speedster 912ul building RV7a slowbuild wings, fuse, finish kit "if you're not getting razzed from pilots or the FAA then you're not flying enough" Do not archive Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=120082#120082
