We've had some good time and some bad times but the good has always outweighed the bad. Of course, I've sold my Fox and have already reached out on doing new things. Life is always a challenge. I've got to the point of deleting almost all "List" post so I may as well go on to the new things. With some regret, Please pull the plug on my subscription to the Kitfox list. If you would like, you can post my appreciation to the list on my behalf. Don's been on the list a while and a valuable contributor, but he has better things to do now, (hard to imagine,) so I wish him well. It is up to you, fellow builders, to take over where he left off. And any feedback on >how did/does that work? It's been a few years, but when I did my Model IV I bought streamlined chromoly tubing from Aircraft Spruce and Murle Williams welded it up to make a set of horizontal stabilizer struts for me. Murle may also have the trim motor "pulser" you are asking about. Check out his web site or give him a call at 602-978-0553. As for how they work, the ones I am familiar with turn the power on and off to the motor in very quick pulses, which has the effect of slowing down the trim movement. Mike G. Subject: Kitfox-List: Question re: flaperon jig I have some pages in my old Denney assembly manual that show a jig of some sort clamping the flaperons for alignment purposes. They appear as blocks with the flaperons profile inside the clamping area. If these appear in later manuals are there any directions as to material etc. or how to make these? The old manuals are short on guidance in many areas and this is one. I'll make them from soft balsa or foam if nobody has any better idea. ________________________________ Message 5 _____________________________________ Time: 12:27:38 PM PST US From: Marco Menezes Subject: Re: Kitfox-List: Fwd: Don Smythe So long Don. The aluminum on the flaperons is fragile enouth that you will not put forces on the jigs that would distort the balsa or foam if that is what you choose. I made mine from a piece of oak with the aileron cut out on on end then at the other end was a block to keep the aileron at a set angle 0 if I remember right,It really worked out well I made no adjustments once the aircraft was completed,If anyone is interested I will look in my manual for the exact info needed to fabricate these alignment jigs, I have a model 5 -----Original Message----- From: owner-kitfox-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-kitfox-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of Dave G.
