I had the same problem when building my Mk7. The manual is confusing
with two diagrams showing different configurations.
I placed the split line on the cord line which exits at the trailing
edge. Plane flies with no problems.

Thanks!
Got my answer pretty quick actually. Since nobody was in Idaho at the factory,
I called my dad's cell phone. He was strolling Oshkosh so I had him head over
to the booth and within a half an hour, John and Debra had given him the answer
to phone back to me. Small world....
Wade
By the way, yep...it's referenced to the chord.

I'm wondering if anybody can help me out with a oil tank problem for a new
912? My old tank isn't in the greatest shape, I have a new one that came with
my new 912 but it's apparently 1" to long and needs to be cut down. Any Idea
who can perform this task for me? Thanks

If it's a metal tank, most modern welding shops can do it. I'd request it
be TIG welded if I took it to a welding shop.
