The tubes are small diameter and the mount pick-ups look not to have been designed for such loads in a heavy landing. Plan to mount the battery on the tailpost, add 20 pounds of copper starter cable, plus some lead. The useful load would probably be down to you and an hour of gas. The fuel flow would also cut you to a very short endurance. A 150+ hp engine could seriously exceed redline in cruise. Because of always being at or over gross, it'd take longer to get off the ground and slow to accelerate out of the high-drag (nose-high) attitude. I recently saw a Zenair 601HD with an empty weight of over 900 pounds. Despite the big Subaru engine, the plane was quite slow, because the wing had to be kept at such a high angle of attack for the heavy load. Keep these planes light and they'll both cost less and run better.
