I took my Kitfox to Central Washington University here in Ellensburg yesterday.

There was an "Outdoor Recreation Symposium at the college and the organizers asked
our EAA Chapter if we would put up a display. The College has a fairly large
four year aviation degree program and several faculty and students are members
      of our chapter.

The Kitfox generated lots of interest. Many of the aviation students came by and
checked out the kitfox. They liked it! Some of the first year students are
just now completing their private pilot rating and commented that the kitfox
looked like it would be a blast to fly.

Pictures attached. That old guy in the red jacket is me.

Thanks for the reply, Gary, I was only 70 miles from the plane, but
still had to buy it sight unseen. Looks like it will work out just
fine though. Got everything home today and even got to sit in it and
make engine sounding noises while I moved the stick around. Got the
wife to snap a few pictures even. Looked at them tonight and thought,
there is a guy with his priorities in order, unfinished tin covered
garage, but he has a plane in it!!! I have a wonderfully understanding
wife! Well stay busy on the plane, and soon you will be flying it.

| Subject: | Re: Proposed Sport Pilot and LSA rule changes |

That would be proposed change #5.

      5. Require 1 hour of flight training on the
control and maneuvering of an airplane
solely by reference to instruments for
student pilots seeking a sport pilot
certificate to operate an airplane with a
maximum airspeed in level flight with
      maximum continuous power (VH) greater
than 87 knots calibrated airspeed (CAS)
and sport pilots operating airplanes with
a VH greater than 87 knots CAS

Notice it says "of AN airplane...." it dosen't specify that it must be LSA or sport
      pilot eligible.

A Cessna 150 would cover that issue.

      Steve,
Thanks for finding these. I hope this list only applies to
pilots and instructors, and not to aircraft, otherwise it's a
disappointment. I really thought they'd clarify the weight issue. And
what about that altitude restriction! I guess Lynn will have to get
      the portable O2 system!

| Subject: | Wing Inspection Hole Locations? |

I am curious where you guys have place inspection holes in your wings. I have
placed one for access to the plumbing for the pitot tube and another for an OAT
probe sensor for my Dynon but can't think of any other reason I need more.
These wings don't have any moving linkages that are inside so can anyone tell
me why I need any additional inspection holes? What has everyone else done?
