For those who are STILL storing the flaperons with the film on them: When
I tried to remove my film after several years of storage I found one side
came off easy, but the other I had to peal off in tiny pieces. The
flaperons were hung on a shop wall. The side against the wall came off
easy. The side exposed to the room, and light? was difficult. Maybe
wrapping with brown paper then storing would help. Can't hurt.

Subject: Kitfox-List: Removeable Plastic Film
I purchased an eight year old Kitfox Lite project a month ago. It was
very complete, except for lack of templates. I'm located in northern
Illinois. My problem is removing the removable plastic film from the
.015 aluminum on the flaperons. It seems to be age hardened and comes
off in small pieces, sometimes fleck by fleck. I'm looking for
suggestions to get it off the flaperons. Thanks in advance. Charles

Attached is pics of N97DE, a series 5 tail dragger, just before moving
to the airport last year. Note trailer in background. Also forgot to
remove flags on com antennas before engine start. Had to retrieve three
houses down the street.

Light squared (Model IV) with 912S and WARP Drive prop. Cruise at 85 MPH.
Full Lotus floats are very forgiving.

Great idea putting the BNC jack on the panel for antenna connect.
Nice plane! Hard to takeoff with all those trees around?
