The drawback, they probably won't work on Fabric (WR-LPU that is). However it is possible they might. Having been an Aerothane junky in the past, I have had many frustrating experiences with the waterborne pain(t). In many ways it is nice, since it is basically not going to kill you. The bad part is it is touchy to spray well, too little and it dries instantly and sandy. Too much and it run's easily, or if it doesn't run tends to develop what I call "foam". Basically where air from the gun embeds in the paint and doesn't flow out. Since my wife won't let me use Aerothane anymore I live with the waterborne stuff. That is because the landing speed is much slower than the tire planing speed. Your little tiny tires would be more of a problem. You would need very smooth and shallow water to get started at it. Think parking lot with a shimmer of water on it. There are at least three others on the field I'm on that have covered with other brands and they have said they will use STEWART Systems on their next project. In fact two of the three are now covering new projects and are using the STEWART SYSTEM. There are practically no odors in the glue and it is MUCH easier to use than STITS. I had a little trouble getting the spray gun (and me)tuned, but things are turning out good so far. I've painted several small pieces and plan to start on the fuselage and wings in the next couple of weeks if all goes well. I went with STEWART SYSTEMS mainly because it is a non-toxic system. I hung around their booth at OSH last year and was sold on the product. Their instructional videos will certainly give you enough knowledge to do a good job covering and painting with their SYSTEM. If you have any more specific questions please feel free to e-mail direct and I'll give you my phone number if you wish.
