Joe,
I understand the desire to repair your wing spar and it indeed may be
possible. I do not who you may have consulted in your quest to determine if
the spar is repairable but I would encourage to seek the advice of a
certified airframe mechanic who has done this type of repair before and not
some "shade tree mechanic", if you get my drift. (The world is full of
people with advice that don't know what they are talking about.) It is not
just matter of "patching" it but it needs to be a properly made "stiffener"
primarily on the side of the dent (possibly both inside and out) which will
now always be prone to bending. An airframe mechanic with this experience
will know what the rule is for his and how the stiffener needs to be
designed. I am not an air frame mechanic but I do speak from experience.
Good luck!

I am just finishing up after replacing both of my rear spars. One with a
small but deep dent at jury strut attach and the other repaired by prev.
owner with a splice for last three feet. The new spars offered by Kitfox are
much stronger with the insert than the extruded ones ever dreamed of. Given
the extreme ease of replacing a front spar and the expense and time to
recover a wing. I don't think I would even consider a repair. How exactly
would you or could you determine how much strength it has lost?

You show 4 things in a picture and give this as the description:
<quote>
These were purchased directly from the old Sky Star at 55 dollars each. I only
used
the new ones less than 50 hours before the aircraft was parted out. I am also
including 3 of the original elastomers, friction washer and the mount part. as
well.
Good luck.
</quote>
Are they new or used? How many are there? You need to give a description of what
they
are for, how many you're selling and the condition, new or used. Sounds to me like
you're selling 4 that are used (shown in the photo) and giving away 3 old worn
out
ones, but it's certainly not clear.
You also say "old Sky Star". Is there a new one? Maybe you meant simply 'Skystar'.

I think the shut off valve from Napa ($20?) is probably # 6601141 5/8" with
the cable in-line to the hose. Kragen Auto # 74627 sells for around $15. Y

Kitfoxers, I am looking for an oil tank like the one on the Classic IV
$21750 on barnstormers. It is mounted on firewall just behind bluehead
582. Can't find in catolog. Owner not builder, can't help. Hey, John
McBean you don't sell that tank do you?
