    Subject: Electrical Power requirements.
The strobe unit you have, should have a plate on it with the info on how many Amperes it draws. Your radio should have the same thing. Nav lights, not LED, are usually less than 1 Amp. Simply add up all the amps marked on your equipment or in the manuals and make sure the total is no more than 80% of the output of the 582 lighting coil. (16 * .8 = 12.8A) If you wire in a load meter which reads the amps being used by the system then you wi8ll be safe to go to the full 16 Amps. I do have older 1996 Aeroflash strobes. I'll see how much power they use, but it sounds like I'm OK. Thanks for info. I fear that my lighting coil will not put out enough power to handle all those electrics. I remember seeing a set up for an auxillary alternator belt drive off of the prop hub., maybe from CPS, I don't know. I remember that it seemed to cost 3 X what I thought it should. Anyone out there have experience with one or have designed one yourself. do not archive Pat Reilly Mod 3 582 Rebuild Rockford,IL http://www.matronics.com/contribution http://www.matronics.com/Navigator?Kitfox-List http://forums.matronics.com ww.matronics.com/contribution >http://www.matronics.com/Navigator?Kitfox-List ronics.com

I am in the market for a prop for 582 ( I have hub and spinner for 3 blade GSC)-and gear for model II. Right now I have been told the gear on later model IVs will not work b ecause of the brakes. Any wisdom/experience would be most appreciated. thanks for the reply rick, this will be my number 3 on the sending unit.I like you thought maybe vibration, the last one I isolated it from the plane, by just hanging it from the bulkhead just by plastic ties, but that did not seem to help.like you the last time I just replaced the sending unit, not the gauge to,vans only sells them as a unit together, might be a reason but I can not see why, they are not matched to each other, as they have dates on the back of each unit that that are different dates,so they are not made at the same time, beginning to have a bunch of vans gauges only around, would like to find a place to just buy the sender it self, with out the gauge frank goggio rv6a Wilmington NC do not archive
