      I hope so, Glenn. It's such a short get-together...2 days...and with
the weather being what it is in the Spring, all the planets have to
line up just right for the trip there, so it's a matter of timing.
I've given up on trying to make it the 1000 miles to Florida for
Sun'n'Fun, but getting to Virginia is only about 560 miles, so much
more doable, but the weather has to cooperate.

| Subject: | 912S External Alternator Question |

Just completed the first start on a 912S and all went well except the Rotax
external 40 amp alternator is not providing any power (I have the internal
alternator from the engine switched off while checking the external
alternator). I currently just run a wire from the output stud on the alternator

to the power buss. I'm thinking that I also need to run a wire from the
faston connection on the rear of the alternator to the postive battery post.
I believe this is how the alternator senses low voltage in the battery
and allows the regulator to send power to the alternator out put stud. Can
      any one confirm?

      Thanks!

I just posted a Kitfox IV on Barnstormers. This will be a deal for someone. The
Dad passed away and the family wants it gone so I have it at my place and it
will go to the best offer. As far as I can tell it is complete from firewall back.
Has the round cowling, powder coated everything, quick build wings, 13 gal
wing tanks, grove landing gear, new in box windshield, new 63" GSC inflight
adjustable prop, fabric, 3 big boxes of hardware. check out the ad and there are
some pictures there as well...thanks for your help

      Lynn,
It was a beautiful day at the Festival of Flight today. All kinds of
      aircraft.
Only (1) Kitfox., John King from Warrenton Va. Hope more Fox will show
next year. Hope you will be there. It gets larger each year.
      GLENN HORNE
      Kitfox Model II
