probably william wynn the corvair guru could supply you with a template for the engine side pattern of the mount. i bet he would even supply the mount. and i believe he has seminars to build your engine. an outfit in wi. that welds parts for a bunch of kit mfgers. made mine and it is beautiful. price probably around 400-600 from anyone. get a hold of wm. first i would say. i can supply the name of my welding shop if you or anyone has interest. bob noffs On Sun, Sep 20, 2009 at 3:22 PM, John Reinking <reinkings@comcast.net>wrote: > > I'm looking at putting a corvair conversion into the Kit 7SS. Has anyone changed the vernier style throttle in a Kitfox 2 to a friction style? And what one did you use ? ACS has ones listed but they start at 3 feet , can you just get a solid wire one and cut it shorter ? -------- Rotax Dealer, Ontario Canada http://www.cfisher.com/ Awesome *New Forum * http://rotaxaircraft.com/forum/ Realtime Kitfox movies to separate the internet chatter from the truth http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=kitfoxflyer Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=264115#264115

yes, if it is solid wire, you can just cut it. We changed out the one on my brothers piper short wing death trap and we just picked one up from the local outfit for our "airboat" cost about 1/3 as much as the AC one and is identical sans the PMA sticker. Had to cut it down, but it is very easy to do and works great. -------- DO NOT ARCHIVE Leonard Perry aka SNAKE Soldotna AK Avid "C" / Mk IV 582 IVO IFA Full Lotus 1450 #1 snake oil salesman since 1-22-2009 hander outer of humorless darwin awards Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=264147#264147

I mis-ordered and to my chagrin find myself unable to return these valves.? They are new (still in plastic) and retail for $179 new + tax.? I have eight (model #854106) bought for the Rotax 912.? If anyone could use a good deal please let me know.? I'd like $120/each or best offer.? Thanks Mike H. Kitfox 6/Longmont Colorado

Dave, Why do you want to go from vernier to friction throttle? Subject: Re: Hi everyone, I'm back with a -4 with NSI questions..
Hi, Mike, Jim, Howard, and interested others. After having two of these modules go bad from leaking diodes (the diodes don't go bad, just the potting compound gets cooked which causes the diodes to leak to each other) I decided that it was just a bad design and no amount of trying to redo it would make them reliable for the long run. Sure, some of them go 300 plus hours, some less, and some more, but they all seem to go eventually and it's not like one can buy one off the shelf. I got to poking around on the net and I found some 80kv diodes with threaded female terminals at each end. I was able to use the terminals from my existing defective modules to fabricate a block of diodes that is roughly the same size and weight as the NSI units. A little lathe work to turn down and rethread the male terminals to the correct size to match the diodes and everything went together nicely. Rather than having 48 of those little microwave diodes crammed into the small space that the modules allow I now have only 8 of them and no housing is needed. Now, for the rest of the story. drum roll please... I haven't tried them yet as I've been too busy flying to take the airplane down as it will require new spark plug wires and some configuring before I'm satisfied. That can wait until this winter when I'm snowed in and I take the airplane down for annual. One thing I need to figure out is the polarity on those GM coils on the ignition modules. The two high tension coil terminals have opposite polarities. Anybody know which side is which or a way of testing to find out? I've attached photos for those who are interested. Scroll down. Michel, Thanks for the flight video. Beautiful! I still think you are wrong. It might last a lifetime. But, one lifetime just ain't going to be enough. When you are young you don't realize the value of the most precious commodity........ time. My father could sit, smoke cigarettes, and work crossword puzzles all day, and feel like he had a productive day. My mother was the 1st one out of bed in the morning, worked at a frantic pace until the middle of the night, was the last one in bed, and still wasn't satisfied with what she accomplished. Both ends of the time usage spectrum in spouses. There just doesn't seem to be any middle ground. do not archive Pat Reilly Mod 3 582 Rebuild Rockford, IL On Mon, Sep 21, 2009 at 12:22 PM, Marco Menezes <msm_9949@yahoo.com> wrote: > Fantastic Michel! > > Norway is certainly a beautiful, rugged country.
