Subject: | Re: Gas Tanks (One more time...) |
As many of you know,I am a nut on British sports cars as well as aircraft.
I have been seeking some products that"might" help in this alcohol debacle.
Moss (a major British car parts supplier) sells a couple of products that
are made by MDR. One is called E-XTEND which purportedly keeps alcohol fuel
fresh for 60 days. I am using it in my Triumph TR3. The other product by
MDR is called E-ZORB which is suppose to absorb and emulsify moisture in
alcohol gas. Sta-bil makes a green marine formula for marine use with alcohol
gas. I just bought another product from a European motorcycle shop that
they are using in all their bikes. It is a product called STAR RON by
Starbrite. It is an enzyme fuel treatment for E-10 fuel.
I will undoubtedly use one of these products in my Rotax when the last
gas station in our area has to go to ethanol as these products are all fuel
stabilizers as should be used in our engines. How well they work with
alcohol,I don't know but more mfgrs are trying to find a solution.(and sell
products)

Mark,
I looked at the pictures in my builder's log and see the tabs you are asking
about. There is nothing attached to them in my pictures. I can't find any
mention about them in the assembly manual either. I'll take a look next
time I'm at the airport to make sure. I'll let you know if I did use those
tabs to mount anything I've forgotten about.

Hi Jim-
Do you suppose the "taller, but no wider" gear had anything to do
with the ski mishap?
Nice restoration job, by the way...looks great.

Thanks everyone on the compliments on the plane. And Pat=2C I suppose that
white would blend in with the snow pretty well. The red should stand out
though. Actually it was the color of the plane before I messed it up and I
had some of that color for patches I did. Take care=2C Jim Chuk Avids

Lynn=2C as much as it would be nice to be able to blame the gear or someth

the strip was longer=2C if I had been slower=2C if=2C if=2C if=2C mostly

I looked at my Classic 4 yesterday. The only thing I used the tabs in question
for is to attach the pitot static line and antenna lead to them on the left side
of the fuselage.
I have developed a theory that they are to attach fuel lines from wing tanks to
a rear mounted header tank. They would work for that I think. Any body use
them for that purpose?
