Now that you know that the airplane you are selling is not a Kifox, why would you continue to run it on Ebay trying to pass it off as something it's clearly not? Instead you act with aggression toward those who point it out to you. In my very humble opinion if you are an honorable person you would either remove the ad or change it so that someone doesn't end up buying something they later find out is bogus. He talked to J. Mc Bean (I guess cause we are all so stupid) and he now knows it is not a KF II. He stated that it is now believed to be, or "emulates" the Fisher FP 606. Wonder where the bidding will go now... I would hope that guys bidding on it would have known it was not a KF of any type. -------- DO NOT ARCHIVE Leonard Perry aka SNAKE Soldotna AK Avid "C" / Mk IV 582 IVO IFA Full Lotus 1450 #1 snake oil salesman since 1-22-2009 hander outer of humorless darwin awards Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=272830#272830 ________________________________ Message 6 _____________________________________ Time: 12:16:11 PM PST US Subject: Kitfox-List: Re: Kitfox 2 ? on ebay From: "Boilermaker2000" The specs are completely different between these planes. 950lbs gross weight listed vs 500lbs actual is pretty serious. If all you do is take out the oil drain plug and take the filter off in your normal oil change and open nothing else then you don't need to do a purge. This is why A&P's should have a Rotax class because I have seen many times an A&P thinks he is going to get more oil out of the system by rotating the prop or taking off the oil cooler lines to drain more oil and never does a purge. Once the oil drain is open or the filter off do not rotate the prop to get more oil out unless you just feel like you want to do an oil purge just for the fun of it. The other big thing I see A&P's do is put anti seize on the plugs. Heat conducting paste only for the 912/914 and dry threads on 582's. -------- Roger Lee Tucson, Az. Heat conducting paste only for the 912/914 and dry threads on 582's. I guess I'll have to say you learn something every day. Why dry threads on a 582? I've seen them greased with a thin coat of Lithium chassis grease. I thought this would be a good thing to keep them from seizing. Please explain. I can guess why not to put anti-seize on the 912/914 plugs and instead use heat conducting paste. But that is something I didn't know either.
