You might want to order both the 5/16" and the 3/8", based on my
experience with what I received from Spruce.....the 5/16" was
stronger than the 3/8". (I wasn't sure what size I wanted a couple of
years ago, for my ski rigging, so I ordered three sizes.)

[quote="rose9065f"]CPS sent me 5/16 bungee cord instead of 3/8, and they are replacing
it. But just out of curiosity, would there be a problem if I made up
LG bungees of 5/16, using 8 or 9 loops instead of the 6 loops for 3/8. Seems
like it might be easier to install.
Second question, is there any difference between the bungee cord I get from CPS
or ACS and what I might buy from Ace hardware?

Jim, here's the information in a letter I received with my Classic 4 kit.
"The 3/8" diameter cord is 66" long and requires six wraps.
The 5/16" diameter cord is 90" long and requires thirteen wraps."
The bungee cord I bought at ace hardware...to make a snow bungee, not to use on
my kitfox...has a very stiff and abrasive cover. I think it would act like a
saw on aircraft tubing.

Tom
I guess Ace stores do not all stock the same cord as mine was very slick
polyester. They are four years old now and need replaced.

I just got in 100 feet from ASC of 3/8" cord.
I think it might mike just over 3/8 though.
Will pake a pic later.
MIL spec Cord is much more firmer than the cheap hardware store stuff.
Make a loop and pull it or hang from it . BIg differance.
Need a video? LOL

CHECK RIDE FOR SANTA !!!
Santa Claus, like all pilots, gets regular visits from the Federal Aviation
Administration, and the FAA examiner arrived last week for the pre-Christmas
flight check.
In preparation, Santa had the elves wash the sled and bathe all the
reindeer. Santa got his logbook out and made sure all his paperwork was in
order. He knew they would examine all his equipment and truly put Santa's
flying skills to the test.
The examiner walked slowly around the sled. He checked the reindeer
harnesses, the landing gear, and even Rudolph's nose. He painstakingly
reviewed Santa's weight and balance calculations for sled's enormous
payload.
Finally, they were ready for the check ride. Santa got in and fastened his
seat belt and shoulder harness and checked the compass. Then the examiner
hopped in carrying, to Santa's surprise, a shotgun. "What's that for!?"
asked Santa incredulously.
The examiner winked and said, "I'm not supposed to tell you this ahead of
time," as he leaned over to whisper in Santa's ear, "but you're gonna lose
an engine on takeoff."

OK...found out today that the F210 seems to reset to liters after engine shutdown.
It seems fine when I reset it to gal/hr before each flight. Just made it part
of my pre-flight checklist.
thanks for all the comments...Jack

Hmm, I have an F210 and it does not reset itself on power off. Do you also
loose your trip meter? Gals used, Gal Left? Mine was initially set to liter
s when new.

Mine does not reset, but then I never turn it on until after engine
