I initiated the covering process of my Model IV yesterday using the Stewart System. The only covering experience that I have occurred during a two hour orientation session during Oshkosh last year. The Stewart system is amazingly straight forward and applies as advertised. I completed the horizontal stabilizer through taping as my first step. I'm really impressed with Stewart's very straight forward and common sense application process. The associated DVDs also prove very helpful; "see one-do one...!" Lane Taylor Long EZ Kitfox Model IV progressing...

I'll chime with an enthusiastic approval also. Easy to learn, easy to use. Priced right and unbeatable support from Stewarts themselves. ----- Original Message ----- From: larry huntley To: kitfox-list@matronics.com Sent: Saturday, February 13, 2010 11:49 AM Subject: Re: Kitfox-List: STEWART SYSTEM It is great stuff to work with. It works very well for repairs and you can use it over any other process, even on certified aircraft. The hardest part would be blending in the paint. the method is to sand around the hole, glue on a patch and shrink the area over the hole. then apply uv/fill and top coats. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Av8r3400" <theav8rweb@yahoo.com> Sent: Saturday, February 13, 2010 9:16 PM Subject: Kitfox-List: Re: STEWART SYSTEM > > How does it work for doing repairs? > > --------

Depending on where the patch is one can often paint an entire panel to match paint better. I have painted the side of a fuselage from the trim stripe down to the bottom longeron to cover a repair in the side of the fuselage. Ekopoly ,does blend in to itself fairly well with the correct procedure and it can be buffed, unlike some aircraft paints. Talk to Dan Stewart 509 679 8763. You will find him very helpful.
