Hi All,
Does someone out there have a replacement air filter for the Jabiru 3300. The original
is an RAF 17 A360. I know it must fit a car of some type, but I don't
know which one. I would like to get a K&N replacement.
Thanks,
Any help would be appreciated.

A used 912 or 912s. These, with diligent application to Barnstormers
and other media can be found. Not often, but they're out there. One
of my flying buddies just replaced his S with a $7k unit off of a
crashed aircraft. The engine had been gone through by a reliable
mechanic and declared quite safe.

This has been done more than a few times. I've spoken to several
who've done it and their preferences depended on their mission. Short
wings gave more speed and higher roll rate, but higher take-off and
landing speeds and rolls. Sleeving the spars is typical. I'd add that
there is a requirement that you support all "end" ribs so the
material shrink doesn't bow or break them, as is done currently for
the outboard rib, and I'd use hinges to connect the two adjoining
ribs, much as is currently done with cowls.
My Number three, Ed, is to be careful not to reply to or quote in
entirety a digest message. It sends the entire digest back to the
list, which is cumbersome at best. Also be wary to change the title
to suit your subject.
