WildIrish, here's a some more information incase you need to replace your choke
cables.
The choke cables for a two stroke in a Kitfox are modified by the builder by replacing
the stock cables attached to the choke lever with longer replacement cables.
The longer replacement cables are part numbers #47004 and #47018 choke cable extensions.
The builder grinds or files one end of the replacement cables to match
the shorter cables so they can be installed in the link.
You will probably need to talk to the Kitfoxllc factory folks about them if you
need to replace.

Hi Wild Irish,
These guys have some good ideas. Another item is to look at your cable insides.
If you are using the choke cable that is all steel inside you might want to replace
it with one that has a plastic lining. It stays corrosion free from rust
and slides smoother especially if you lube it. My bet is some where in your
cable it is binding just from old age, rust or as someone mention you may need
new choke return springs.

KF builders, help me with some advice on engines. I am building my second
Fox, a model 4 1200. I want about 100 horsepower to lift amphib floats. Do
not want to pay for Rotax 914 or Rotec 2800. Don't want the weight of Rotec
or Jab 3300. I have seen ads for the Verner VM 133 which looks like a sweet
engine with really low gas consumption. Also the UL 4 cylinder boxer made
in Belgium (air cooled, fadec, injected) almost same cost of a 912 but looks
like a better, simpler, more modern engine. I also like what I have heard
about the Raven 1300 setup for the 4 cyl Geo-Suzuki. Anyone have any
knowledge/comments on these engines. Yeah, I know, I should get a loan and
hang a Rotec on it and I would if didn't have a wife!
