Hey everyone, I'm helping a mechanic do my first annual on the Kitfox 5 I bought last year. We're having a heck of a time finding airworthiness directives for it. I searched the FAA AD database to no avail, as well as the ATP Navigator maintenance software. Any ideas, folks? Thanks! What type of airworthiness certificate do you have? If it's an Experimental/Amateur Built aircraft, there will be no AD's issued for the airframe by the FAA. If it is Experimental/Amateur Built and has a FAA type accepted engine and/or prop, the AD's that apply to those items must be complied with. If it has experimental engine/prop, there are no AD's issued by the FAA. I did not have much luck with the blocks. I am welding in a extra 1.5 inch extension to raise the brake bar. Hope to test it in the next day or so. Jack Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=294598#294598

Hi, Just checked my rotary valve bowl cap. It has a small hole in the cap, however, it seems that there is a sealed paper/ rubber gasket inside the cap. This gasket does not have a hole in it. How is this working? Jack Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=294599#294599

Values changed for most of us on certain parts. You should be using the new values because the old may have had an issue Rotax was tweaking. -------- Roger Lee Tucson, Az.
