Roger, the pressure pump is a good idea, but how do you capture the overflow
from the master cylinder. I assume you are pumping fluid into the nipple on
the caliper. Don't you overtop the master cylinder when you do that?

Anyone here have an opinion on the Eggenfellner Honda conversion for use in
      a KF 4-1200?

Okay thanks everyone. I'll give taxiing with brakes dragging a try. Roger,
      and
everyone else too, what I am doing is breaking the pads in after
      sandpapering
the disks and pads to rejuvenate them.

here is what I use for a brake bleeder. works like a charm. and it is only
      about
$10. I picked it up at Ace Hardware. One of the best things I ever bought.
      It
makes bleeding brakes very easy and fast. It blows out all the air bubbles.

FYI Just received some rib tails from Brett at Airdale for my KF III.
      Reasonable
price with good quality and service. I was pleased.

I did the break in this morning. Before I started I held the brakes and increased
engine power until the plane started to creep. At 5000 rpm I couldn't hold
it. Then I taxied at 5000 RPM holding firm pressure on the brakes to keep speed
about 10 mph for about 200 yards. Then I let it roll to a stop without using
the brakes. The disks were too hot to touch when I first got out.

After the break in run and letting the brakes cool down I tried a static run up
again and was able to easily hold it with full (6200 rpm) engine power.

The trick is not to build up too much heat... You do that basically by clow
taxiing with minimal but consistent brake application. It's well worth
      doing.
