It's still an open invitation to anyone wanting to join us. All the details are available at: http://www.enotam.net/eNOTAM/Temporary/High_Valley_Resort_05-10.pdf In my original post, I included links to my YouTube video showing our Vixen and a Thundergull flying at High Valley. ...I'm feeling a little sad that no one has commented on them. [Crying or Very sad] OH well...It's all good...and we'll hope to see you at High Valley. :D -------- Travis Rayner Mobile, AL Skystar Vixen, N-789DF Continental IO-240, Prince P-Tip Prop ADI-II Autopilot AnyWhereMap Navigation with weather www.enotam.net (My Flying Info Website) Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=298967#298967 ________________________________ Message 5 _____________________________________ Time: 01:43:29 PM PST US From: "Tex Mantell" Subject: Re: Kitfox-List: Jabiru on a Kitfox You will love the combination, have one and my freind has one also. So for kicks, I went for a 2.4 hour, 234 mile flight and just set the engine to where it ran well, and well lean of peak. As you can see, I averaged about 100 mph, went around a larger than 50-miles-per-side square, and the fuel flow meter looked like it was stuck on 2.9 gph, upping 4 or 5 times to 3.0, and about the same number of dips to 2.8. ************ This is using a Rotec TBI, but similar numbers have been reported using the Bing carb that comes with the engine. The benefit of using the TBI is to be able to set the mixture "lean of peak EGT", which you'll hear more about as the years go on and people become educated about it. Spent 2 hours trouble-shooting. It turned out to be running in from the primer line. I think my first move will be to remove the primer. Should I just cap the points where the lines entered the carburators? -------- Jeff Dill Model 2 Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=298988#298988 ________________________________ Message 8 _____________________________________ Time: 06:19:44 PM PST US From: "larry huntley" Subject: Re: Kitfox-List: Jabiru on a Kitfox Hey Tex, Been wondering where you were!
