Hello Hans, I have changed my 582 for a Jabiru 2200 a few years ago, on my Kitfox III. Since then, I have been flying roughly 350 problem-free hours. I like the engine although I am sure Rotax engines are good too! :-) Groeten uit Noorwegen Michel Verheughe Norway -------- Kitfox 3 - Jabiru 2200 Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=299024#299024

Hey Travis, I watched your videos and enjoyed them very much! Nice to hear the cockpit communication, to compare the weather radar with realtime outside conditions, and enjoy the scenery. Looks like a fun place to fly... certainly different than our Indiana flatland! Thanks for posting. Roger, Thanks for the kind reply. I can now change my sad icon to a smiley one! :D Yes...HVR is a lot different than flying in Indiana. I love my AnywhereMap Navigation System and NexRad radar...I don't leave the airport without it! :D -------- Travis Rayner Mobile, AL Skystar Vixen, N-789DF Continental IO-240, Prince P-Tip Prop ADI-II Autopilot AnyWhereMap Navigation with weather www.enotam.net (My Flying Info Website) Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=299058#299058

Videos FlyboyTR I also watched your videos and WISH I could come that is just the adventure I need , I am located in southern Minnesota with very little higher elevation flying experience, pretty much flat and wouldn't feel very comfortable. later Steve -----Original Message----- From: owner-kitfox-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-kitfox-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of Roger Circle Sent: Thursday, May 27, 2010 10:24 AM Subject: Kitfox-List: Re: High Valley Resort Trip (North Georgia) and YouTube Videos Hey Travis, I watched your videos and enjoyed them very much! Vic & Steve, Thanks! Glad you found the videos. Mountain flying is a different sort of thing. AOPA has a great Mountain Flying course that is on-line. I'm pretty much a flat-lander except when flying into the mountains of GA, NC & TN. A Kitfox is perfectly suited for flying into HVR. I'm sure I'll do a flight report and post it on my website in a couple of weeks. There is an older HVR flight report available (under the Information Portal Link). That was a flight that tested me and the Vixen. Even after 3,600 hours...I learned something new that day...and will never forget it! ...although...I"m always learning! :D -------- Travis Rayner Mobile, AL Skystar Vixen, N-789DF Continental IO-240, Prince P-Tip Prop ADI-II Autopilot AnyWhereMap Navigation with weather www.enotam.net (My Flying Info Website) Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=299082#299082
