Hello Hans,
I have changed my 582 for a Jabiru 2200 a few years ago, on my Kitfox III. Since
then, I have been flying roughly 350 problem-free hours. I like the engine although
I am sure Rotax engines are good too! :-)

Hey Travis,
I watched your videos and enjoyed them very much! Nice to hear the cockpit communication,
to compare the weather radar with realtime outside conditions, and
enjoy the scenery. Looks like a fun place to fly... certainly different than our
Indiana flatland! Thanks for posting.

Roger,
Thanks for the kind reply. I can now change my sad icon to a smiley one! :D
Yes...HVR is a lot different than flying in Indiana. I love my AnywhereMap
Navigation System and NexRad radar...I don't leave the airport without it! :D

FlyboyTR
I also watched your videos and WISH I could come that is just the adventure
I need , I am located in southern Minnesota
with very little higher elevation flying experience, pretty much flat and
wouldn't feel very comfortable.

Vic & Steve,
Thanks! Glad you found the videos. Mountain flying is a different sort of thing.
AOPA has a great Mountain Flying course that is on-line. I'm pretty much
a flat-lander except when flying into the mountains of GA, NC & TN.
A Kitfox is perfectly suited for flying into HVR. I'm sure I'll do a flight report
and post it on my website in a couple of weeks. There is an older HVR flight
report available (under the Information Portal Link). That was a flight
that tested me and the Vixen. Even after 3,600 hours...I learned something new
that day...and will never forget it! ...although...I"m always learning! :D
