Winter you have to increase the antifreeze again.
I like to get mine good to -25 to -35 C -- I have seen it go to slush before.
You want a new rad? I got one guy that might go for a new one soon.
Will let you know

Extra pump not needed for run up and breakin. That "could be" be causing the needles
to not seat from the pressure. Extra pump optional.
Fuel liters clogging ? Do not use Paper element filter s a huge NO NO .
Once they get water on them they swell up and I think ethanol gas makes those paper
filter turn ugly as well.
A faulty primer will usually cause the carb to drip when turned off.
I don;t think it would cause it to run rich.
Time to get my floats on soon ...............

so what is wrong with sleeving a cylinder? they have sleeves in them from the
factory. Sleeves are replaced all the time in many engines. Why would someone
want to spend the money to get a short block when a simple sleeve job would
make the cylinder good as new?

if it is pissing fuel out the main jet after you shook the engine, it sounds like
a float or needle valve problem. Make sure the floats are set per spec and
there is no crap under the needle. If yours are viton tipped needles, they could
have dried out after sitting for too long and wont seal right. Rebuild kits
are cheap.

If it's a replaceable sleeve, no worries. I don't know that a sleeve in a 582
is a replaceable component, I thought they were cast into the block...
That ain't no Detroit, Leni! [Wink]

Sleeving the cylinder would not be a problem as long as a sleeve could be purchased,
that maybe the problem, Rotax may not make them available. I know the the
503 snowmobile engine were resleeved all the time in the past with excellent
results

Subject: | Re: Fuel migration |
If you have flown the plane since the fill, an air leak around one cap
gasket will expose the tank to quite a bit of negative pressure and siphon fuel
from the opposite tank. This happened to my son's Kitfox 7 and was solved
by fresh gaskets. I think he said the gaskets are the same as in a Mercedes
car.

Fuel will also migrate from one tank to the other we you work the rudder
when the plane is in level flight. Step on the left rudder, fuel will
transfer to the left tank. And vise versa.

Yes, fuel will migrate from one tank to another. If the level of one tank
is higher than the other it is probably just because the wings are not
level. Probably due to the ground it is sitting on is not level.
Have you found the Kitfox aircraft web site and looked at the service
bulletins and service letters yet? http://www.kitfoxaircraft.com/
Here's a direct link to a service letter that explains a proper fuel
system.

yes they can be sleeved. It is not rocket science to re-sleeve and most repair
centers can do it for you. I know CPS does it.
