      Yep that's something like I'm looking for...maybe even more foam around the outer
      edges (the leather part), but thanks for posting the pictures it helps give

      Paul,
      
      The thought just occurred to me that there was a recent series in Kitplanes 
      on upholstery.  It discussed the design of the outer portion to give a bit 
      of a bucket feel and yet give freedom to move your legs around a bit for 
      comfort on long flights.  it might be worth a look.  The plan on my current 
      project is to do some custom upholstery, very likely  two separate seats 
      with the pan visible on both sides and center.
