I have used Ivo medium and found it easy to adjust but cannot say that it performs and better than a properly adjusted GSC 68 " or a WARP 68 " or even a IVO UL 3 blade. We splitting hairs here. Summer time you should be 1050 to 1150 EGT with a plugs a nice med to light brown. If you cannot get a handle on your EGT now then when colder temps come you will have troubles. I have flown today in 4 different Rotax 2 strokes and all worked flawless. Heading to lake now --cya I am in London Ontario. Performance was consistent with the GSC from spring to summer to fall and when winter came I just couldn't keep EGTs from pushing 1175-1200 indicated at 5800-6000. So it was not perfect in pitch. Where I have to disagree with you is that there will be marked differences when you start going from three blade to two blade props and start increasing prop diameter. If I remember correctly (this is a crap shoot) 2 blade to 3 blade means greater pitch for the same static thrust which translates to higher cruise speed. Greater diameter means same pitch gives more static thrust and cruise stays the same. So it is realistic to see an increase in cruise and climb going from a 68" 3 to a 72" 2. Also my 10 mph gain was "indicated" and I don't trust my ASI since I can push Vne in level flight at full throttle, doors off. So it is probably more like 6-7 mph if I calibrated it. -------- James Kitfox 3 / 582 / 72" IVO 2 blade GA 50 hrs on the Fox in between deployments, now she lies in wait Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=310443#310443 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Matronics Email List Services ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Post A New Message kitfox-list@matronics.com UN/SUBSCRIBE http://www.matronics.com/subscription List FAQ http://www.matronics.com/FAQ/Kitfox-List.htm Web Forum Interface To Lists http://forums.matronics.com Matronics List Wiki http://wiki.matronics.com Full Archive Search Engine http://www.matronics.com/search 7-Day List Browse http://www.matronics.com/browse/kitfox-list Browse Digests http://www.matronics.com/digest/kitfox-list Browse Other Lists http://www.matronics.com/browse Live Online Chat! http://www.matronics.com/chat Archive Downloading http://www.matronics.com/archives Photo Share http://www.matronics.com/photoshare Other Email Lists http://www.matronics.com/emaillists Contributions http://www.matronics.com/contribution ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These Email List Services are sponsored solely by Matronics and through the generous Contributions of its members.
