Subject: | 582 mounting problem |
I am in the process of replacing my model 90 582 with a bluehead model
99. In the original building manual they indicate that all the mounting
points will be equipped with 8mm holes, and the top left front hole may
require tapping.
My new engine has an offset 6mm tapped hole in that location, I will
attempt to include a picture. Has anyone else encountered this change,
and what did you do? My initial inclination is to simply use the smaller
bolt and leave the block unaltered.

Subject: | Re: Tailwheel steering setup |
I replaced my steering springs today with the way overpriced Maule set
from ACS.
No need for any chain if you follow the setup instructions, (one link of
you want them looser than specified). The results are quite good, with
around 3/4" of pretension the tailwheel is quite responsive, and kicks
out much easier than before.
