I had a similar problem with my 912Ul. I lubed the cables, that helped for a while but I finally ended up replacing them with new Teflon sleeved cables and that solved the problem. Also check the "swivel nuts" at the carb throttle arms for freedom of movement. If one sticks during movement this can also cause one carb to go momentarily out of sync. Unfortunately, that's what ethanol is. http://www.permatex.com/documents/tds/automotive/80938.pdf - Mike Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=314500#314500 ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 10:04:17 PM PST US Subject: Kitfox-List: Re: Sealant for header tank fittings From: "dholly" Hey Mike- I'm no chemist but see the data sheet you linked says: "Chemical / Solvent Resistance The product retains effective properties in contact with automotive fluids, such as motor oil, transmission fluids, alcohol and antifreeze solutions." ...and the card pack guide also says: "A high tack, pliable gasketing sealant and plastic and metal pipe fitting sealant. Resists gasoline, gasohol, kerosene, oils, lubricants, water, antifreeze, and mild acids. Designed to resist high temperatures, vibration, fuels and oils of today's engines." So... what to think? In any event, recommended by Kitfox and leak free to date (knock wood) on my M-III panel and wing tank fittings. -------- -Kitfox III 582 Blue/C Grove Spring / Aerocet 1100 Amphibs -Airdale Avid+ (project) TD / W.I.B.
