Ed- Back in 2004...or 2005...when I was building my IV, the then head of Kitfox told me that if my tanks had not had fuel in them since they were built in 1994, that I should flush them out with repeated applications of acetone, until the acetone became clear...this took 3 separate flushings. Then to follow the directions on the Kreem for re- sloshing. I did this and never a problem in over 4 years of flying with 100LL. Dave, I use a commercial product called a "tail dragger dragger" I have used it for years and it works well. You might do an Internet search or spruce may have it. Dick Maddux Milton,Fl

This works well on solid surfaces provided wings are NOT folded. .Totally agree If one must see fuel take the element out of the glass filter. Any restriction or pressure drop in those lines is very bad news and that is exactly what fittings and filters create. Why one must see fuel in a line is way beyond my thought process. I have never heard of any vehicle except Kitfoxes that have fuel visible in the lines. Nice fat lines (3/8") are overkill, use them and let the junk travel to the low point so it can be purged.
