I'm looking to fill a 2.25" hole in my panel with a useful instrument.
One thing that comes to mind is a digital clock/timer of some sort.
Anybody have any suggestions based on personal experience?
Thanks,

Deke,
I too had that same problem when I had 2 failures of my Northstar fuel
flow system. I yanked that gage out and said no more, this is too expensive !
I filled the hole ,I believe,with a MGL combo clock,timer,OAT gage. I
looked at so many different gages I am not 100% sure it is MGL but if you are
interested I will check.
Anyway it works, and was inexpensive. I wanted the OAT so I can see how
hot it is here in FL. I didn't have a need for a "G" meter as I don't do acro
with my plane. The timer is great for fuel planning ,etc. It's been in the
plane almost a year now and works fine. (matches the other gages too)

Noel, I live in paradise, 1 mile west of runway 25 at RFD and 15 minutes to
Cotonwood Airport in Rockford, where my hangar is. 300 yards off the Rock
River, a half mile from the confluence of the Rock and Kishwaukee rivers,
deer in the yard most days, wild turkey, coyote in the immediate area. I
will die here ... That is unless I get taxed out. Same problem here as in
WI, which has been in the national spotlight.

[quote="Joel"]Anyone have experience installing Full Lotus 1650 floats on a Kitfox

the inner spreader bar attach brackets.

Not on a 5, but I have put the 1220, 1260 and 1450 on kitfox and Avid. I have
the Skystar rigging also. What is your issue with the bracket?
I may have some close up shots on my computer, if not, I will have the kid go brush
the snow off them and shoot me some pics if it would help you out.

Subject: | 6 gal Gas Tank for Kitfox II |
Hi All:
I want to buy a 6 gal plastic gas tank for a Kitfox II. It still has the
original, aluminum gas tank, and it already failed (flying). I tried to contact
wingtanks.com and airdale.com with no success. Do any of you know where I can
buy this tank.

I had a couple of aluminum tanks in my Avid B that started to leak. I sea
led them with KBS Coating's tank sealer. It seemed to work fine=2C but I s
old the plane not long after so I don't really have a long history on it to
point to. That's the first thing I would try rather than tear into the wi
ng. If it doesn't work out=2C then I would cut the wing open. My tanks we
re leaking at the seams=2C there were no cracks in them=2C and the sealant
should work good on seams if that is your problem also. Take care=2C Jim
