Hi Guys, I need to start a new logbook for my Kitfox. Registered as amateur
built. the previous owner did not see fit to pass on any logs, he promised
to but I have to think at this point they are never coming.
My annual is filed, and I have compiled time on the second page and beyond
in the log. I am having difficulty with composing an entry for the first
page. I need to acknowledge the six hundred hours I am told are on the
airframe. I have also changed the engine for a new bluehead 582.
Please move this to private email to occom@ns.sympatico.ca I want to cross
all the T's and dot all the I's here, but as you know transports website is
full of information nobody can understand in either official language!

Wheel pants look very nice and work well if you have a speedy airplane. You will
gain no utility with wheel pants on a bush that I can think of. By putting them
on you will loose a nice place to sit, stand or put your foot on for what
ever reason. If you are on rough ground they will shake and rattle around, not
good on a bush plane.
Of course if we all thought alike it wold be a very boring world.

I have seen an alternative to complete wheel coverage over the top and that is
just a
smaller trailing tailcone. I think something like this would allow you to use the
tire
as a step and have most if not all of the streamlining gains of full pants. Having
nothing out in front of the tire would eliminate problems of hitting vegetation
and
riverbank rocks. When the airplane tail tailwheel on the ground, there still wouldn't
be much ground clearance though.

If you can swing the price, the LP Aero windshield won't disappoint.
It's pre-formed. Mine has been flying since 2001 and still looks new!

I'll concur with Taildragon! Well worth the money for the molded plexiglass windshield.
