Hey James,
What engine mount are you using for your HKS? I have a Lost Hills mount but
it doesn't fit well and I've been slowly working on it with a torch. I
think I might have to grind out the two front tubes and tweek them forward
again just a little more.
I'm making a pair of stub rear intakes to increase power but will also need
to modify the mount a little more to clear the carbs. I'm using a pair of
R912 carbs to get rid of the belcrank and simplify the throttle hook up.
Thinking about a pressure airbox.
The top of the round cowl does limit visibility on the ground esp. looking
right. With my mount the engine sits high and the gearbox has to be turned
down so that the hub is in the center of the cowl opening. One advantage is
there is a large space available at the bottom for the oil cooler and
exhaust.
Cheers,
Mark
