I'm setting off on my "bucket list" trip 2 Sep . . . headed to Alaska from GA! The XM Radio folks tell me they can not guarantee reception in AK, that it's (obviously) dependent on satellite position/reception. Can anyone tell me where the XM weather reception is reliable/unreliable? Depending on weather, I plan on being as far north as Fairbanks, west to Kodiak, and all the way down to Ketchikan. Also, I'd be interested in exchanging a couple of notes with any AK residents re questions I have about flying in AK, especially if you are willing to share a secret fishing hole and/or keeping bears at a safe distance. -------- Frank McDonald Kitfox S7 912S, Sensenich Composite 3 Blade Acworth, GA Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=350439#350439

Frank, I no longer am an Alaskan resident, but I flew bush charter work in Alaska in a Maule M6-235 for 6 years up in the interior. If you want, contact me directly and I'll do my best to answer questions that I can.
