Roger Lee, have enjoyed reading you blog comments on the Rotax Blog.=C2-
Asking my question here where I regularly monitor comments.
On a recent flight on downwind experienced a loss of power at the 4000 rpm
range.=C2- Immediately added power and the engine responded quickly as ex
pected.=C2- My first impression was possiblity of carb ice though have ne
ver had that problem in the past.
Then on startup subsequently the engine runs a little rough in that midrang
e.=C2- Planning to check carg sync tomorrow, Saturday, but not expecting
a great revelation because of the sudden nature of the occurance.
Might possibly be related to the sticky valves that prompted a post earlier
in the month?

Hi John,
It could be a piece of debris that got into a carb? It may show up on a balance.
Sync them at 3500 and then run it up to 4000 and take a look. It doesn't sound
like a fuel delivery issue from the system and it isn't electrical in nature.
Something more central to the carb area. Let me know what the sync turns up.
