Now there's an interesting subject. While I fly in Canada we have a similar
agency. I rather like having weather reports, ATC service and knowledgeable
investigators to figure out why things go wrong. I'm curious what structure
you would replace the FAA with and what services it would offer? It can't be
easy balancing all the desires of all the large and small corporations in
aviation with the desires of very small aircraft out for pleasure flights.
I'm sure having any sort of authority overseeing an activity is irritating
from time to time, but having no oversight would be far worse. Not saying
you are wrong, I'm just not sure anything else created to do the same job
would be smaller or cheaper or more effective.

Too bad it isn't the FAA reducing size instead of constantly building a
worthless beauracy of absolutely no value to general aviation. But then why
worry when it's just taxpayers $.

To Marco, Lowell & Lynn,
This thread has been very interesting to me and has brought back some
"what ifs". The big one, for me, was what if my battery had not been
bad that day back in 2007 when I was supposed to be with you Lowell.
Then at least had it been that 30 min. later I would have been overhead
but I think a few others would have been along at that point.
Lowell & Lynn you have been inspirations to "hang in" until I am able to
get back and fly/build. Lynn your age to building keeps me going. I am
coming back and will hopefully be flying with you guys one day.
I will continue to watch and thanks to all of the listers as your love
of the Kitfox is an inspiration in itself.

I replaced my wing tank to header tank fuel lines over the weekend with the 5/16
id Tygon fuel line. It was easy to work with and fit the barb fittings perfectly.
I dipped the line in a little engine oil prior to sliding it over the fitting,
installed the clamps and poured some fuel into the tanks. No leaks, and
no more fuel vapor smell in the cockpit. I've got some tubing left from the roll
I purchased. It takes about 8 feet at $1.85 per foot, plus $5.20 for shipping
via USPS Priority Mail.

Subject: | Re: Radiator Cap for Rotax 912 |
OK. Time warp. Checked the Acura and it has a nice, teeny, very weird,
radiator cap. Nothing like the 912. However I did find this interesting

Did you already know about this?
