I have the "roto-molded" header tank supplied by Skystar in 1994. It is some kind of plastic-polyethylene?, milky color. Question: is this material attacked by alcohol? Should it be treated with Kreem? The wing tanks have been Kreemed at Skystar. I recoated them, but not sure the header needs it. Who knows the answer? I will have my Speedster flying next year with a Viking engine and Skyview efis. Does anyone know of a Grove gear for sale? Can a one piece gear be made of laid up fiberglass? Ed Gray Dallas

Ed, The header tank will not be affected by the ethanol in fuel. The issue usually mentioned about the tanks is getting the metal fittings to seal. I have a persistent leak in one just enough that it smells. There have been attempts with laid up fiberglass gear legs. The issues that have cropped up is delamination when highly stressed.
