B ut n the meantime i would like to consider fixin it later and getting a spare so i can concentrate on the other aspects of getting it running. Any ideas on aftermarket or used options? ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 11:14:07 AM PST US From: Dee Young Subject: RE: Kitfox-List: Tail Wheel Needed If is the original they are very easy to fix. There is a small pin that loc ks in place that is easy to replace. Takes about 10 minutes to fix it. If you are looking new aftermarket, I would recommend one of the Home builders Special tailwheels from aircraft Spruce. I have owned both the two arm and the single arm versions and liked them both. One thing, though as I went to the site to look at them again. The bearings as they come from the manufacturer are not sealed and are nearly impossible to lubricate. The bearings they sell are sealed and very easy to replace. Or, I can send it by email if someone wants it. vetdrem at hotmail dot com Louie Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=393249#393249 Attachments: http://forums.matronics.com//files/maule_tailwheel_103.pdf ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Matronics Email List Services ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Post A New Message kitfox-list@matronics.com UN/SUBSCRIBE http://www.matronics.com/subscription List FAQ http://www.matronics.com/FAQ/Kitfox-List.htm Web Forum Interface To Lists http://forums.matronics.com Matronics List Wiki http://wiki.matronics.com Full Archive Search Engine http://www.matronics.com/search 7-Day List Browse http://www.matronics.com/browse/kitfox-list Browse Digests http://www.matronics.com/digest/kitfox-list Browse Other Lists http://www.matronics.com/browse Live Online Chat! http://www.matronics.com/chat Archive Downloading http://www.matronics.com/archives Photo Share http://www.matronics.com/photoshare Other Email Lists http://www.matronics.com/emaillists Contributions http://www.matronics.com/contribution ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These Email List Services are sponsored solely by Matronics and through the generous Contributions of its members.
