Subject: | SS7 rudder pedal install question |
Hello Mike,
I'm at KIMT Ford Airport, out of Iron Mountain in the upper peninsula. , I
have yet to make it back to the hanger, so I have no pics of my peddles to
share, it has been a rough week at work, looking forward to the weekend.
Also, I see you have a little experience with RV's, my hanger partner has an
RV-7A, he is pushing 600 hours flying time on it, it is a hoot to fly in.
Lloyd

Hi Lloyd,
Thanks for the reply. I am going to sand off the paint and install the
bushings, but from looking at it, it doesn't appear the bushing will give me
enough spacing. Maybe once I assemble it, it will become more clear.
Where in northern Mi are you? I'm at 26W near Jackson.

To circle back, I forwarded my note to John McBean. He said there are a few builders
who have the problem I mentioned and they have created a bushing with a
wider flange to ensure the bolt head clearances. He is going to send me out
a set! Sounds like I'm all set.
Thanks
