*I agree, it ain't the tires. I've had the same tires on a Model IV with Grove
      gear
for 5 years. Bounced at first, but don't anymore.

      Jeff,
I tend to agree with Pat on this one.
I run 10 lbs in mine (also with the bush gear) and have no problem
bouncing unless I screw up the touch down which I do on occasion (OK...maybe more

      than occasion)
Its all part of flying !...no big deal.

      Hi,

My 582 brown wire is grounded to the engine. The ground wire from the
Key West regulator is grounded to the frame. The engine is grounded to
the frame with a braided strap =93 it needs to be heavy to handle
the load when the starter is engaged. A lot of guys bring everything to
a common ground on the aircraft. I did this in my RV-9A. See attached
pictures for RV common ground and 582 ground strap.

      All the best...

Where should the brown ground wire on a 532 be attached to ?

To airframe & engine block ?

Am in process of installing a Key West regulator that has a 12Volt DC
      plug that
      is labeled to ground.
It should probably go to frame & block also, But would it be a good idea
      to connect
it to the brown engine wire also ?

      Thanks

When landing at SCX in Tennessee, with 19-35 knot crosswinds, I hit
the right-side wheel bad enough to gouge and bend the Douglas wheel,
but the *tubeless* Chengs stayed on and didn't lose any air...16 lbs
pressure. Flew it home the next day, without even checking for
damage. I didn't even notice the gouging and bending until a week
later when I took the wheel pant off. Hammered the bend straight,
filed some of the gouging out, and continue to fly it to this
      day...and beyond.

Are you sure you're not from Texas Lynn? ;-) Gol Dammi! Even I wouldn't be flying

Nice airplane, Jeff. Generally the amount of air in the tires has nothing to do
with bouncing. Usually the problem will go away when you slow down your landing
speed a bit so that it stalls about the time you touch down.
      Good luck.
