Hello fellow Kitfoxers! Looking to see if there is anyone out there that has any experience landing a Model 5 with the flaperons in the second (full) flap notch setting. Lloyd C KF 5 Outback 912ul IVO IFA Northern Mi IMG00144-20120518-1002

I have a 5 and vary between full and one notch. My experience with the stock elevator and not having the interconnect mod, is that the stick forces are fairly high and I have to use a lot of effort to get the tailwheel down fir st or in a three point. hope this helps Steve D Sent from my iPhone On Jul 2, 2013, at 11:20 AM, "Lloyd & Lorrie Cudnohufsky" <7suds@Chartermi.n et> wrote: > Hello fellow Kitfoxers! > Looking to see if there is anyone out there that has any experience landin g a Model 5 with the flaperons in the second (full) flap notch setting. > Lloyd C KF 5 Outback > 912ul IVO IFA Northern Mi > <image001.jpg> > > >

The fuse is to protect the wire, not the generator. I don't know how much ele ctrical demand that you have for your plane. It would be better to have the 30 amp fuse vs over sizing the protective device witha 40 amp. You could p ut a amp meter in series with the fuse temporarly and turn everything on. I t will give you a insight as to what kind of electrical load you have. The b iggest consumere of power on your plane would be landing lights (just a gues s) . > > My best guess (without seeing all the loads) is it will work . > > Marwynne > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Cwehner" <1cewehner@cox.net> > To: <kitfox-list@matronics.com> > Sent: Sunday, June 30, 2013 10:20 PM > Subject: Kitfox-List: 912 regulator fuse size > > > > > > What size fuse can be used to power the 912UL engine regulator B+ termin al. Steve, Thanks for the reply, not sure I am familiar with the interconnect mod? To date I have only landed with the first notch of flap and would like to start working with the second or full, my hesitation is that I feel I may run out of elevator. What are you using for an approach speed for each position? Lloyd , I'm using 65-70 downwind, 62 base, 60 final and 52 over the fence with touch down at about 43. I do have vg's (STOL Speed) and my plane with full flaps r efuses to stall it mushes at 38 indicated with 500fpm Check the KitFox catalog you'll find there is a retrofit mod that is suppose d to reduce the stick forces when using full laps. I've gotten used to my 5 a nd just have to remember to pull the stick all the way to my gut to three po int it.;-) Steve Sent from my iPad On Jul 2, 2013, at 4:11 PM, "Lloyd & Lorrie Cudnohufsky" <7suds@Chartermi.ne t> wrote: > Steve, > Thanks for the reply, not sure I am familiar with the interconnect mod?
