Mine cracked so I made some aluminum panels t o cover up the holes. I could never turn my head enough to see out anyway. The early models came with a piece of Lexan sewed in to a triangular piece of fabric. Eventually they became scratched and discolored and a real eyesore. My solution was a bit different than Pete's since I was covering a new project. I took a piece of Lexan the size of the space between the triangular tubing. I then cut out what I wanted to be as the window from the center giving basically a triangular outline. I then fabricated some channels that I could rivet to the bottom two legs of the triangular shape that would accept a triangular piece of window lexan. After inserting the window piece, four sheet metal screws secured the top edge. This made the window removable and replaceable. For size, I made the edges parallel to the tubes and it was arbitrary as to any factory numbers. Pics attached. David ________________________________ Message 5 _____________________________________ Time: 09:17:16 AM PST US From: kerrjohna@comcast.net Subject: Re: Kitfox-List: Window size My approach was similar to Lowells.=C2- Cut out a triangle approximately the same size as the triangle formed by the tube structure then cut a trian gular hole 1 1/2 inch in from the edges of the flat piece.=C2- I then for med=C2-two 1" x 2' joggles for each side.=C2- These pieces form the fra me and retaining clips for a slightly smaller piece of lexan than will fit flush with the frame and almost inside the tube structure. these windows are better for light in the cabin than sight seeing.
